One of my dogs -- a 7-year-old Chihuahua/Pekingese mix -- was rescued from a serious hoarding situation and is on meds for fear issues and separation anxiety. She also has food allergies that limit the kinds of treats and pill pockets I can give her. I was administering her meds in peanut butter, which she loves, but she was putting on weight and I needed something healthy and lower-calorie to give her. Her wonderful trainer suggested the salmon ricotta Bark Pouch. My pup loves it and laps it right up. My other dog, a Great Pyrenees/Australian Cattle Dog/Collie/German Shepherd mix, likes it too. I can't recommend this great paste enough! I haven't used it as a training treat yet but I plan to, and I'm sure it will also work well used that way.
Dog loves the taste. Makes treat dispensing easy when dog is wearing muzzle or in motion
