Theoretically it does work for thin 6”bully sticks, but my dog somehow manages to get the last bit out. She also started ignoring bully sticks if I put it in this holder.

in my opinion, this is the best bully stick holder so far... the weight of the base helps to station the bully stick so the puppy can really enjoy it. I bought one of my daughter's puppy and came back to buy another one for us.

3 1/2 month Maltese loves bully sticks and I have watched her prop up sticks on toys and through her cage. Now she has her sticks in the donut hole, thats what we call it and she has them in all her favorite places. its the first go to when she needs to chew, better than destroying her toys and ez to get in position for lot of chew time during teething time. Thanks for a fabulous product.

I have also posted a longer review of the medium size bully stick holder. To summarize, it is a great product for anyone who wants to avoid having to buy sticks directly from the holder manufacturer. I bought two sizes, one small and one medium and they tightly fit the varying thickness 12” sticks I buy from my local small shop owned pet store. My teething Golden Retriever puppy has not been able to dislodge the stick, and I get more bang for my buck as there is only a half inch left in the holder when I need to replace it to avoid a choke hazard. Also, the price for two sizes was less than the price of one of the competitor’s price for one.

Hi, this is Bowie and he is our 5 month old Golden Retriever. We started using 12” bully sticks since bringing him home at 7 weeks. At the beginning, it took him close to two weeks before I felt the stick was between 3 to 4 inches, which I felt was too short and a potential choking hazard. I have been looking for weeks for a suitable bully stick holder that would be a safe way to keep my teething puppy happy as he began to be able to chew one in less than two days. With the considerable expense of these sticks, and quite a bit more teething to come, I poured through dozens of options on the market and as many reviews as I could. Many products, including the Bully Grip, come in various sizes to accommodate the different diameters of bully sticks on the market which are often unique to the manufacturer who also wanted to supply the sticks for best fit. I like to support small businesses and purchase them from a local store and so I was not interested in that kind of commitment. When I came across the “Store For The Dogs” website, I was thrilled to see this holder, with all the positive reviews, and from a small business owner store! The pricing is such, that I was able to purchase two sizes, both the small and the medium, for less than the price of one size of competitor options. It was the right decision as my sticks vary in size and diameter and so I can use the size that fits tightest on each unique stick. The amount of stick lodged in the holder is roughly an inch, and so I can safely have him chew to a shorter size. I received the holder about a week and a half ago, and this is still the same stick. Don’t know why it has slowed Bowie down, but I am not complaining. These can be tough to force the stick through the center, but I found that if I wet the holder, it was easier to do, and I let it dry before giving to my puppy and he hasn’t been able to pull it out, in fact he doesn’t try. Great product, great service, give it a try.
